The River Coquet offers some of the best salmon and sea trout fishing certainly in England and, some would argue, the United Kingdom. Fishing is available to all guests of the Hall and cottages along Guyzance’s 3 mile stretch of river. Our ghillie has plenty of local experience and will be on hand to guide you to the best spots for that dream catch!

Guyzance was once an extremely successful game farm, and the legacy of the farm lives on with a high number of pheasant on the estate. There are also large numbers of duck on several ponds, snipe and woodcock have also been spotted and pairs of partridge are often seen scurrying under hedgerows.

| |
There are a number of footpaths on and around the estate that allow you to walk alongside the beautiful River Coquet. It is easily possible to walk a 3 mile loop around the land surrounding the Hall alone with plenty of wildlife to spot, including kingfishers, herons, pheasant, otters and deer. We can provide information on a variety of routes suitable for all levels of ability - from short strolls to arduous hikes.

Located within part of the stunning walled gardens at the Hall is the all-weather tennis court. Available to guests of the Hall and the cottages, the court is available all year round - although tennis balls don't bounce brilliantly in soft snow! Racquets and balls are provided.
|
| NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL SUMMER 2009 |
The indoor heated pool at Guyzance is open all year round to guests staying at the Hall and cottages. The pool is located in its own separate building on the estate with changing rooms and loungers. Outside is a patio area with barbecue. Times will be allocated to individual parties to ensure that everyone has privacy to enjoy the pool.
|
| |
Available to guests of the Hall only, the Games Room contains a full size snooker table and selection of board games, jigsaws, cards, chess and backgammon sets, perfect for those rainy days. Outside, Croquet is available for use on one of the lawns.
|
| |
With 800 acres of estate available, there is plenty of scope for bringing in additional activities such as archery, laser clay pigeon shooting, team building challenges to name but a few. We do not allow "noisy activities" that could have any impact on the Coquet SSSI or the beautiful Conservation Area that Guyzance Hall sits in. Contact the Events Team for more information - hit the Contact Us button on the left for telephone numbers and email addresses.
