Country Cottages

An idyllic location for the perfect getaway

The 800 acre Guyzance estate is located near to the A1, providing easy access to Northumberland’s major attractions, castles and beaches. The Guyzance cottages are located around the estate and enjoy wonderful scenery, the woodland and river, as well as peace and tranquillity.

Furnished to a high standard, the cottages all benefit from central heating, open fires and private gardens. The kitchens are well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday and bed linen and towels are provided.

Guests staying in the cottages have use of both the tennis court and indoor swimming pool, with each property, like Guyzance Hall, having a daily timeslot in which to use the facilities in privacy. Cottage guests can also enjoy the fishing on the River Coquet that is on offer.

Electricity and oil are included in the price and dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. We aim to make guests as comfortable as possible and provide basic provisions, like tea, coffee and milk, and a full log basket to help guests settle in.

West House

The largest of the Guyzance holiday cottages, West House is a lovely detached farmhouse sleeping 8 people. The spacious accommodation includes a large lounge with comfortable sofas, open fire, freeview TV and DVD player. A door leads through into the dining area of the kitchen with large oak table seating 8, gas range oven and SMEG fridge freezer with a further door leading into the kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is a ground floor double bedroom with king sized bed and en-suite shower room. Upstairs are two further double bedrooms, both with superking beds and en-suite shower rooms (one with bath), plus a further twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Outside there is plenty of parking space in the courtyard, which leads to a large enclosed orchard garden with furniture and a barbecue. West House is located adjacent to the swimming pool but far enough away to not be affected by noise and is approximately a 10 minute walk from the tennis court and Guyzance Hall. .

 West Lodge

One of the prettiest cottages at Guyzance, West Lodge is located on the banks of the River Coquet and enjoys stunning views of the water and wildlife around – guests might be lucky enough to see otters and red squirrels. The property sleeps 6 people and is comfortable and well equipped. The large lounge has an almost panoramic view over the river, an open fire, comfortable sofas and freeview TV and DVD player. There is a cloakroom off the lounge. The Kitchen/ Dining Room has an electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, fridge and dining table seating 6. There is a ground floor double bedroom with king sized bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over. Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor and a further two bedrooms. One has twin beds and an en-suite shower room, the other has a superking bed, also with en-suite shower room.

West Lodge is located at the bottom of the drive leading up to Guyzance Hall and has some off road parking and a small garden to the side with furniture and a barbecue. It is approximately a 10 minute walk up to the tennis court and swimming pool.

Stable Cottage

Located in the rear courtyard of Guyzance Hall, Stable Cottage is opposite Garden Cottage and sleeps 5 people. The half timbered cottage is charming with a cosy lounge containing an open fire, comfortable seating and a freeview TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, washing machine, fridge and microwave. A door leads into the dining room which overlooks the garden at the rear of the cottage. The family sized bathroom with bath and shower over is located on the ground floor. Upstairs are the bedrooms with one double containing a superking bed, one twin room and a single room.

Outside at the back is a private enclosed garden with furniture and barbecue. Two allocated parking spaces are found at the front of the cottage. The tennis court is directly opposite and the swimming pool approximately a 10 minute walk away.

Garden Cottage

Garden Cottage is located at the eastern end of Guyzance Hall and is connected to the Ballroom of the Hall. The cottage is also adjacent to the tennis court and sleeps 5 people. The front door leads into the cosy lounge/ dining room, which contains a sofa and armchairs, freeview TV and DVD player and dining table seating 6. An archway leads through to the well equipped fitted kitchen with shaker style cupboards, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is a large shower room on the ground floor with shower cubicle, WC and handbasin.

Stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, single bedroom and family bathroom with bath and shower over, WC and handbasin. Parking is available at the front of the cottage and there is a private garden for Garden Cottage located beyond the tennis court with furniture and a barbecue. The swimming pool is approximately a 10 minute walk away.
