Guyzance Hall is a privately owned home occasionally hired out for others to enjoy. Staying at Guyzance Hall is like owning your own Country House for a time – you are given the keys and left alone to enjoy your stay.

And enjoy it you surely will, with so many beautiful and elegant rooms to relax in, activities to enjoy on the estate and breathtaking scenery of the surrounding countryside.

Guyzance Hall sleeps a total of 24 guests in 12 bedrooms, all with their own en-suite or private bathroom, and our self catering package also includes the adjoining Garden Cottage which sleeps a further 5 guests. The spacious accommodation is ideal for large groups and all sorts of special occasions have been celebrated at Guyzance Hall, from birthdays and anniversaries to reunions of old friends and family. Guyzance Hall is a truly special place to stay.

Elegant and charming rooms

Grand yet not imposing, elegant yet not intimidating, the rooms at Guyzance Hall contain some stunning features. From the carved wood panelling in the Dining Room to the sweeping staircase and Corinthian columns of the Ballroom, the Hall is an architectural treat.

The stylish Drawing Room is warmed by an open fire on winter evenings and the intimate Dining Room comes alive with candlelight and sparkling conversation. The magnificent Ballroom with its chandeliers and minstrels’ gallery is perfect for a party and balmy summer evenings can be spent outside in its walled patio garden. Curl up with a book in the comfortable Library or cook up a feast in the modern Kitchen with aga and electric oven. There is also a Breakfast Room, Utility Room and adjacent Games Room with a full sized snooker table.

Luxurious bedrooms

Each of Guyzance Hall’s 12 bedrooms is spacious and comfortable and named after a Northumbrian castle. The bedrooms are located on the second and third floors with sweeping staircases linking them. There are 9 bedrooms on the second floor, each of which had an en-suite shower room or private bathroom room just across the corridor. With large comfortable beds, antique furniture and the occasional chaise longue or window seat, the rooms are romantic and unique.

Activities and Leisure

The private gardens of Guyzance Hall are immaculately kept with a variety of hidden gems – a walled garden with gazebo, a topiary garden, a kitchen garden with greenhouse, and the vast south lawn, ideal for games of croquet. The 800 acre estate is accessible, with walks in woodland and down to the River Coquet plus a treasure hunt in the grounds of the Hall. The indoor heated swimming pool is located at West Barn, approximately a 10 minute walk from Guyzance Hall, and the all weather tennis court is adjacent to Garden Cottage at the rear of the Hall. Both the pool and court are shared with guests staying in the cottages, with each property having an allocated daily timeslot to ensure privacy when in use.

Fishing plays a large part of life at Guyzance with a private 3½ mile stretch along one bank of the River Coquet. Guests can pre-book the fishing and are given a helping hand from our ghillie.  Check our Leisure Time page for more information.

Exclusively yours

Our self catering weeks run from Friday to Friday and our weekends run from Friday to Monday. Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am on a Friday or 12pm on a Monday. We provide luxurious bed linen and towels for your stay, including swimming towels, and add some extra touches to help you relax from a delicious hamper to a bouquet of fresh flowers.
